HDD Guidelines
All hard disk drives have a similar structure, and every model of HDD may fail. The hard drive reliability depends mainly on the external environment. The main reasons for disks failure are:
- Overheating.
- Impact effect on both the storage device and computer case.
- Boosted computer case vibration due to the CD-ROM work and fans with slackness in the bearings.
- Substandard supply unit.
- Frequent power on/off of computer or use of an aggressive power-saving mode of the hard drive.
